BCG And CarbonCapture Inc Sign 40,000-Ton CO2 Removal Credit … Global management consulting group Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and direct air capture (DAC) company CarbonCapture announced on June 21 a 40,000-ton carbon removal credit agreement. The deal also intends to include support for CarbonCapture’s business strategy through BCG’s services


Supercritical, a carbon removal marketplace aimed at tech firms … Supercritical, the carbon removal marketplace aimed (at the moment) mainly at tech companies that want to hit “net zero,” has raised a $13 million Series A funding round, led by Lightspeed Venture Partners.


The round includes funding from RTP Global, Greencode Ventures, MMC Ventures and others. We covered Supercritical’s launch back in August 2021, when it pointed out that the carbon footprint of the technology sector had — embarrassingly — been proven to be greater than the entire aviation industry.

This 2 minute CNN video discusses the Proof of Concept project in the Port of Los Angeles which has already been removing CO2 from ocean water and pumping the solidified CO2 to the ocean floor while rereleasing the pure seawater back into the ocean where it can sequester more CO2.
