G7 urged to phase out fossil fuels by Netherlands, Chile, others BRUSSELS, May 19 (Reuters) - Group of Seven rich nations must take the lead in phasing out fossil fuels, the leaders of seven countries including The Netherlands and Chile have said, attempting to build momentum for a global deal this year to gradually quit oil, coal and gas.

Clear definition needed for carbon removal With carbon dioxide removal (CDR) becoming more prominent in global decarbonization efforts some challenges have appeared when it comes to defining it and creating policies to support it. The Carbon Business Council (CO2BC) has released an issue brief that outline these challenges and offers several solutions to help accelerate CDR.
